Meet The Owners
Amy and Billy O’Shea
In 2019, husband-and-wife team Amy & Billy O’Shea had a vision … a cozy lounge featuring proper cocktails, excellent wines, and craft beers with small bites to perfectly accompany them…place to learn about spirits and wines at tastings … relax in lounge seating after a long day …
catchup with a friend … celebrate a milestone … chat with a date … meet before a concert.
There was only one problem …. it didn’t exist.
So they built it. Well, Billy actually BUILT it but Amy did some stuff too like the lease, permits, glassware, insurance, licensing, menu… #teamwork
After finding a space in an old factory building, they decided to name it after a factory that was in the building in the 1920’s – J.B. Percival Co. Then they scoured flea markets, antique shops, eBay … for the perfect items to bring their vision to life. Some items included illuminated mahogany framed photos from Moore Precision Tool that hung in the lobby when Billy worked there years ago, 1934 Lithographs from Bridgeport Brass, a metal grate from the Hubbell factory, 1930’s Merkel slip shade light fixtures, and bowling alley bar tops to name a few…
And that’s how J.B. Percival Co. was born … inspired by Connecticut’s manufacturing history with touches of glamour from cocktail bars of the same era such as the Campbell Apartment, Amy & Billy built a little hidden jewel box in downtown Fairfield.
